LA COORDINADORA REGIONAL DE LOS DERECHOS HUMANOS DE AREQUIPA
Conmemorar los 61 años de la Declaración Universal de los DDHH, nuevamente nos obliga a que, individuos, instituciones, Estados y movimientos mundiales, evaluemos qué hemos avanzado y qué hemos dejado de hacer por el respeto y la vigencia de los derechos de cada persona, no solo en el Perú, sino también en el mundo.
Existen aún, en nuestra sociedad y en otras partes del orbe, innumerables casos y formas de injusticia, desigualdad e impunidad en materia de DDHH. Esta situación plantea los retos que se deben enfrentar para acabar el abismo entre lo que se dice y lo que se hace.
Para las Naciones Unidas y la Comunidad Mundial, el major challenge is how to influence Member States to understand that the priority now is how to overcome the global financial crisis, but how to face the global crisis of poverty of millions of people. Today, many governments, as well as emerging powers are reluctant to stop the worst human rights crises, as compared to social conflicts caused by inequalities of millions of people, only received in response indifference or relegation, and the criminalization and repression of these protests. The greatest threat to the future of human rights is the lack of shared vision and collective leadership to overcome this crisis.
Since 61 years ago the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and in Peru four years ago approved the National Plan for Human Rights, through the DS 017-2005-JUS, the question is imperative to know what what we have advanced or retreated on these issues. Therefore committed to its importance, organizations are driven CODHES formed in Arequipa, implementation and approval of the Regional Council HR by Regional Government of Arequipa, it as a way of taking our own local accountability in the implementation of international commitments, national and regional Arequipa make a place where your life is fully supported by this important area of \u200b\u200bregulatory and public policy advisor with a focus on human rights.

To do this, HR should be taken as the value added to the agenda of development, emphasizing the obligation rulers on the fundamental rights of citizens, on HEALTH, EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENT AND POVERTY.
We call for sustainable human development, a concept that guides Nations currently involved with the issue, with a dynamic and long-term compliance with the rights of all people.
We call on the Regional Government of Arequipa for the performance of DS 017-2005-JUS, creating the Regional Council of Human Rights that, among other things, the implementation of public policies with rights approach. We call
organizations committed to these commitments, in order to combine efforts and work towards these and other goals global and regional strengthening and joining the Regional Coordinator of Human Rights of Arequipa.
